Open meeting and audition for Oh, What A Lovely War!

Oh, What A Lovely War!

Performance Dates: 10 – 14 June 2014
Director: Peter Bressington & Peter Hunt

Satirical musical originally developed for the stage by Joan Littlewood and Theatre Workshop – this is our June production and is being staged to coincide with the centenary of the 1st World War.

Summarising and commenting on the story of World War I, Oh, What A Lovely War! is a boisterous show with much fun and comedy, counterpointed by the grim realities of the facts about the war. Many of the songs used are much older, popular songs that have been sarcastically re-worded by the soldiers serving on the front lines.

We will be having a pre-audition meeting where the production will be outlined and you will have an opportunity to listen to some of the show songs. Auditions will then be held on the following Wednesday.

Open Pre-audition Meeting on Wedesday 12 February, 7.45pm at the Playhouse Theatre Whitstable.

Open Audition on Wednesday 19 February, 7.45pm at the Playhouse Theatre Whitstable.
