Our 70th Anniversary

In May there was a double celebration at the Whitstable Playhouse when the Lindley Players marked the 70th anniversary of its formation and also welcomed former Whitstable resident, playwright Duncan Macmillan, as its new Patron.

Duncan, whose latest play “People, Places and Things” is having a hugely successful run in the West End, gave a talk to members and guests followed by a lively Q & A session. He then attended the Lindleys critically acclaimed production of “The Beauty Queen of Leenane”. This was followed by the most crowded after-show party the Playhouse has hosted for many a year!

Here’s to the next 70 years!
