Cast list
Please note all principal cast will be involved in singing and movement
CINDERELLA: Kind-hearted and innocent. (she – singer and dancer)
BUTTONS: Page-boy at Hardship Hall – a bit on the silly side, but more savvy than the usual “Simple Simon” type and with a soft spot for Cinderella. (he/she/they – ideally singer and dancer)
BARON HARDUP: Cinderella’s father, Horace – good natured, hen-pecked and slightly comical. (Mature he/they)
BARONESS: Cinderella’s new stepmother, Rubella – a bit of a battle-axe. (she/they – has solo singing)
GERTRUDE and GRIZELDA: The Ugly Sisters – Cinderella’s stepsisters. Comical, but with wicked intent. Our outrageously funny Dames. (he/they – will perform two songs)
PRINCE CHARMING: Typical Prince character … as obvious. (he/she/they – singer and dancer)
DANDINI: The Prince’s Valet. (he/she/they)
BODGET and LEGGETT: A pair of barmy builder/developers – typical panto “Broker’s Men” style comedy twosome. Leggett is the more idiotic of the two. (he/she/they)
FAIRY G: Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother. (open to different styles – sassy/bored/goody-two-shoes/
CHAMBERS: The Lord Chamberlain – a Royal Official. (he/she/they – smaller part)
HAGAN THE HORSE: A Pantomime Horse. [2 people he/she/they, also part of chorus.]
CHORUS: Villagers King’s Guards Hunting Party Fairyland Folk Ballroom Guests [will involve singing, some movement and ensemble performance]
CHORUS DANCERS: Featured in musical numbers as desired and can augment Chorus parts.
One also plays the Fox in full animal costume for Act I Scene 3, the other Junior Dancers being various Forest Animals in this scene – eg. rabbits, mice, birds and possibly a squirrel, hedgehog or badger, etc. [will involve singing, full dance numbers and ensemble performance]
