Sir Ian McKellen to attend Closer

We are delighted to announce that Sir Ian McKellen will be attending the Lindley Players’ opening performance of Closer by Patrick Marber on 25th September.

Closer is a brilliant exploration into the brutal anatomy of modern romance, this multiple-award winning play documents the lives of a quartet of strangers who meet, fall in love, and become caught up in a web of desire and betrayal.

Hailed as one of the most ground-breaking plays of recent times, and subsequently turned into a successful Hollywood film with an all star cast, ‘CLOSER’ deals with relationships in the world in which we live today, in an uncompromising manner.

Sir Ian McKellen is patron of The Little Theatre Guild, of which the Playhouse Theatre Whitstable are a member.
