Summer Events for The Lindley Players
The summer has been a busy time for The Lindley Players, with members involved in Whitstable Oyster Festival, Whitstable Regatta, Whitstable Carnival and Faversham Hop Festival.
An ‘improvised’ performance took place at The Tower Tea Gardens, as part of Whitstable Oyster Festival. The performance tackled the trials and tribulations of an IT helpdesk, in Tudor England. Relying heavily of very bad puns, this was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience.
Whitstable Carnival was a slightly more complicated affair, having been let down by our lorry supplier. With some creative carpentry, the team quickly pulled together two mobile floats, depicting a Punch & Judy show as well as The Alternative Miss Whitstable.

Whitstable Regatta proved to be as popular as ever. The Lindley stall provided a range of traditional fairground games and theatrical makeup.
Finally the summer was rounded off by an appearance of the Lindley’s Pearly Kings and Queens as Faversham Hop Festival. The group belted out a series of traditional Music Hall hits to the appreciative audience.
